Welcome to KathySturdevant.com

I am a California native plant gardener and enthusiast. I replaced my lawn with 100% California Natives in 2010 after having been inspired by the Theodore Payne Foundation's annual garden tour. I took their classes, studied books, and designed an English cottage style garden to suit my English Country home. My garden features a dry stream, or swale, that directs water from the downspouts into the water table, and a birdbath on a drip to provide habitat for birds. It is my hope to inspire others to convert their landscapes to use truly native plants to the benefit of bees, birds, insects, lizards and our ecology.

My other talent is software engineering, more specifically Software Quality Assurance (QA). Find me on LinkedIn
